Sizing
Information
We have found
our manufacturer's sizing to be consistent with other clothing sold in the
United States. Please note that swimwear outfits are
sized to fit close to the body (similar to Lycra cycling clothing). If
you prefer a looser fit or are between sizes, we recommend ordering one size up.
For women please remember that adult sizing is unisex. For growing
children it is always a good idea to order one size up from their usual
clothing size.
Lycra hats
from C-Wear and Stingray tend to run on the small size compared to
American made hats. For adults with above average size heads we would
recommend avoiding the Australian made hats and trying Watership's. For
older children with above average head size, we would recommend Stingray's
adult size legionnaires hat (royal only) or one of the Watership hats
(Waterman for boys and girls or the Seabird for girls).

Most babies fit size 1 or
size 2. It is best to allow some room for growth. 2-year-olds would
usually be best in size 4 (click on Children's section). Shirt and suit
sleeves have no shoulder line, so the bigger clothing still looks good,
and protects more of baby's tender body. Baby suits have snaps between
legs for easy diaper changing.

It is best to "go
up" in size for children of average build, to allow for some growth.
For example, a 3-year-old could fit size 4 but best to go to size 6; a
6-year-old could fit size 8, etc. Shirt and suit sleeves have no shoulder
line, so the bigger clothing still looks good.
